Any good hot chocolate ideas?

I want to make hot chocolate but I want things to add to it so its not so boring. I can make regular hot chocolate or white hot chocolate since I have white chocolate chips. Anyone have any favorite recipes or anything?

  1. Add to or pour the hot chocolate over vanilla or chocolate ice cream. I usually make the hot chocolate with water when using the ice cream.

Other good toppings are Whipped Cream, Cool Whip and Marshmallow Cream or Marshmallows (mini or regular size).

I have added a drop or 2 of Vanilla, Almond, Coconut or Rum extract to the hot chocolate mixture (milk and cocoa) while it is coming up to heat. I have also added about 1/4-12 teaspoon of instant coffee or instant espresso to make a mocha flavored hot drink.

  2. I am a hot cocoa lover so i usually research about different hot cocoas and experiment them, so here’s a few of my favorites :

    Serendipity Frrrozen Hot Chocolate

    1 cup of milk
    3 cups of ice

    Dry ingredients
1/3 cup of evaporated instant dry milk
    1/3 cup of granulated sugar
4 tablespoons of a variety of the finest cocoas of your choice

    1. Mix dry ingredients together
    2. In a blender (in this order) add milk, dry mix and ice
    3. Blend for 20-30 seconds until smooth daiquiri-like texture
    4. Pour into a large glass, top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate

    Candy Cane Cocoa

    4 cups milk
3 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate, chopped
    4 peppermint candy canes, crushed
    1 cup whipped cream
    4 small peppermint candy canes

In a saucepan, heat milk until hot, but not boiling. Whisk in the chocolate and the crushed peppermint candies until melted and smooth. Pour hot cocoa into four mugs, and garnish with whipped cream. Serve each with a candy cane stirring stick.

  3. Mint hot hot chocolate is the best! I’m pretty sure you can buy it from your local grocery store 🙂 and you can add marshmallows and cream whipped cream on the top 🙂 delicious!

  4. Well my friends cousin melts crunchy peanut butter in a pan then makes a chocolate ganash which he then adds milk to to thin he serves with cream and marshmallows underneath so they melt
